John grew up in Canada and was educated at Royal Military College of Canada and University of Windsor.  John holds a Dual Honors Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Geography.  John is ITIL v3.0 certified (ITIL/US023915) and has experience with ITIL implementations for large financial and publishing enterprises.  John’s first introduction to computing was in 1979 with an original Ohio Scientific Challenger series computer - with 8 Kb of RAM.  Following that, the Apple II, IIe, Lisa and eventually Commodore systems (PET & 64) were learned.  A blending of the Arts & Science continued into University, where programming skills with FORTRAN, COBOL and QuickBasic were experienced.  Having a final degree in Social Science, and a heavy quantitative background in statistics, John ventured into the computing industry by 1989.  He has worked for the Bank of Montreal, Burns Fry, Nesbitt Burns, Midland-Walwyn, Merrill Lynch, Standard & Poor’s, McGraw-Hill and JP Morgan Chase & Co. John has both his private glider and private pilot’s licenses.
