Technology is pervasive throughout our society.  We take it for granted.  The abilities that the average person has today impacts society in ways we still do not yet fully understand.  The ability to snap a digital picture, and have it on the web within seconds (from phones with cameras) has shaped public perceptions of wars (Iraq), society change (China) and criminal investigations (people observing crime & sending picture to police).
